Presenter: Sarah York-Bertram
The Knight Lab workshop presents introductory user knowledge on StoryMapJS and TimelineJS platforms. Participants will learn how to use the platforms, which can stand alone or act as third-party platforms embedded in Scalar or other web platforms.
The workshop will cover the topics of structure, narratives, and establishing relationships between stories, places, events, and actors. Learn with York University’s Conjugal Slavery in War graduate student researchers, PhD candidate Sarah York-Bertram and PhD student Zhi Ming Sim, on using maps and timeline visuals to document the journey of a traveling exhibit and survivor-centred advocacy commitments.
