Creating Digital Online Publications with Scalar

Presenter: Anna St.Onge

Curious about your options for creating long-form born-digital narratives online? This workshop will introduce you to the open source authoring and publishing platform Scalar and provide an overview to basic functionality and provide a supportive atmosphere where participants can experiment with building online narratives using the tool.

Topics covered will include:

  • How to create a project and import content
  • Understanding how Scalar conceptualizes content
  • Creating paths and tags in Scalar
  • Annotation, layout and widgets
