Let's Talk About It

Join us on April 3, 2025 at the Lorna Marsden Salon in Scott Library as we sit down for a chat with Robin Stevenson, author of Queer History A-Z: 100+ Years of LGBTQ+ Activism and Natalie Coulter, Associate Professor, Department of Communication and Media Studies, moderated by Kris Joseph, Director Digital Scholarship Infrastructure department. 

 

"Let's Talk About It," is a new discussion series dedicated to fostering open and meaningful dialogues on critical topics and compelling issues within the literary and academic communities. We invite you to join us biannually to engage with esteemed thought leaders, share your insights, and contribute to the ongoing discourse that shapes our academic and literary landscapes.

 

About the Author:

Robin Stevenson has written over thirty acclaimed books for kids and teens, including Pride Puppy, When You Get The Chance, and My Body, My Choice: The Fight for Abortion Rights. Her latest works, Queer History A-Z: 100 Years of Activism(2024) and A Hug on the Wind (2025), continue to receive high praise.

Robin's impressive accolades include the Silver Birch Award, the Sheila A. Egoff Award, and a Stonewall Honor. She has been a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Awards and the Lambda Literary Awards. In 2022, she was named the Book and Periodical Council of Canada’s Champion of Free Expression, and in 2023, she received the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Literary Excellence.
