Discovering Research Impact Data with Dimensions Online

Presenter: Rajiv Nariani

Do you need to track the research impact of your scholarly publications for your CV, grant applications, or other types of reports? The Dimensions database can help save you time, as this analytical tool brings together grants, publications, citations, alternative metrics, clinical trials, patents, and policy document data into a single platform!

Register for this practical workshop on Dimensions and learn how to complete the following tasks with this unique database:

  • Conduct topical searches across publications, datasets, policy documents, grants, clinical trials and patents.
  • Discover the wide variety of places where your research outputs are being cited.
  • Develop complex searches in Dimensions and export data from your searches for further analysis in the complementary database, Altmetric Explorer for Institutions.

This workshop is part of the Libraries' 2025 Open Access Week programming. Participants may also be interested in completing the Libraries' virtual Research Impact Challenge (October 20, 2025 to October 24, 2025) to learn more about research impact and visibility topics.
