Not all information is created equally—and not all search tools work the same way. This interactive workshop will help you compare popular tools for information discovery from AI to academic search platforms. You’ll learn the differences between misinformation, disinformation, malinformation, AI hallucinations and deepfakes. We'll show you practical fact-checking tools and strategies to help you figure out what’s real and what’s not. You'll also practice evaluating sources, including academic ones, so you can choose the most reliable information for your assignments. By the end, you'll feel more confident navigating the information jungle!
