Academic Integrity: Learn to Stop Worrying About It! Online

In this interactive workshop, you will learn what academic integrity is at York and how to demonstrate it. Through scenarios and discussion, you will explore common academic integrity challenges, learn how to make informed choices about sources, collaboration, and generative AI, and discover where to find support when expectations are unclear. The workshop will also help build your confidence with using and citing sources. Citation is about more than formatting references correctly; it is a way of participating in scholarly conversations, acknowledging the contributions of others, and demonstrating your own learning. Throughout the workshop, we will examine current, scenario-based examples, including situations involving generative AI. Together, we will explore how assignment expectations, responsible decision-making, and academic integrity are connected, while providing a safe space to ask questions and learn from other students' perspectives.
